FAQ

Questions, answered

The short version of how revel works, for the people buying tickets and the people selling them.

Buying tickets

  • Do I need an account to buy a ticket?

No. Pick your tickets on the event page, enter your details, and pay. Your tickets are sent to the email address you give.

  • How do I pay?

Paid tickets are paid for on a secure page run by our payment provider, using the cards and methods it supports. revel never sees or stores your card details.

  • Where are my tickets?

Once your payment is confirmed, we email your tickets to the address you used at checkout. Each ticket has a QR code and a check-in code. If you can't find it, check your spam or promotions folder.

  • How do I get in on the day?

Show the QR code from your ticket email at the door. The organiser scans it, or types in your check-in code, and you're through.

  • Can I get a refund?

What happens if an event is cancelled or postponed, or if you can no longer go, is set out in our refund terms. Organisers may also set their own refund policy for their event.

Running events

  • How do I create an event?

Sign up, then add a cover image, the details, the venue and the date. Events can be one-off or recurring. Add your tickets, review, and publish.

  • What kinds of tickets can I sell?

Free or paid, single or group, with limited or unlimited stock. You can add as many ticket types to an event as you need and set a purchase limit on each.

  • How do I check guests in?

Open check-in from your dashboard on any phone with a browser. Scan a guest's QR code or enter their check-in code. There's nothing to install.

  • How do I get paid?

Ticket revenue goes into your revel wallet, where every transaction is listed. When you're ready, request a withdrawal from your available balance.

  • Can I see who bought tickets?

Yes. Each event in your dashboard shows its sales, revenue and attendee list.
