revel is built for the people who make events happen: the friend who hosts a monthly games night, the church running its annual conference, the promoter filling a venue on a Friday, the startup hosting a product launch. Whatever the size, the job is the same. Tell people about the event, let them get a ticket, and know who is at the door.
This post explains what revel does, who it's for and what it costs.
An event page in minutes
Every event on revel gets its own public page with a readable link you can share anywhere: WhatsApp, Instagram, X, email or a flyer. The page shows the cover image, date and time, the venue with directions, your description, and the tickets on offer. When you change a detail, the page updates straight away, so the link you already shared always shows the latest information.
You can keep an event as a draft while you set it up. Only you can see a draft, and you publish it when you're ready.
Free RSVPs or paid tickets
Some events are free and you just need a headcount. Others need to cover a venue, a sound system and a line-up. revel handles both.
You can add as many ticket types to an event as you need: free or paid, single or group, with limited or unlimited stock. Each ticket type can have a purchase limit, so one person can't buy up your early-bird allocation.
Buyers don't need an account. They pick their tickets, enter their details and pay on a secure page run by our payment provider, by card or bank transfer. Their tickets arrive by email, each with a QR code and a check-in code.
Check-in from any phone
On the day, open check-in from your dashboard on any phone with a browser. Scan a guest's QR code with the camera, or type in their check-in code if their screen is cracked or their battery has died. There is nothing to install, so anyone on your door team can help.
Know how your event is doing
Each event in your dashboard shows its sales, revenue, attendee list and check-ins. Ticket revenue goes into your revel wallet as soon as each sale is confirmed, every transaction is listed, and you can request a withdrawal to your Nigerian bank account from your available balance.
What it costs
Free events are free, however many you run and however many people come. There is no subscription and no setup fee.
Paid tickets cost 5% of the ticket price plus ₦100 per ticket, and that includes payment processing, so there's no second charge from the payment provider. You choose who pays it for each ticket type. If buyers pay, it's added at checkout as a service fee and you keep the full ticket price. If you absorb it, buyers pay the ticket price and the fee comes off your earnings. On a ₦5,000 ticket, the fee is ₦350.
If you sell thousands of tickets a year, for a festival, a tour or a venue, talk to us about a custom rate.
